Good day to all! I hope all of you had a memorable and relaxing weekend. I sure did. For the first time I rode my bike (a 2006 Kona Stinky) down the 007 trail near Bass Lake. The last time I rode that trail was five years ago! Thank goodness for our beautiful Sierra Nevada for providing us with such a unique and majestic playground.

After you are through with the test I need you to turn in all work if you have not done so already. I will be collecting your Chapter Notes-section 1.1-1.6, Biosphere Circles Revisions, and Chapter 1 Flashcards. You may also turn in your KL chart for extra points on the test. KL TEMPLATE.pages

Today we start our FFA Unit! FFA a huge part of the Ag Education model. It is without a doubt the best organization young people can be apart of to develop premier leadership, grow personally, and set themselves up for career success. FFA is not all about plows and cows, so get that out of your head. It has so much more to offer, therefore I recommend that you take advantage of this opportunity and become an active member in the Minarets FFA Program.
Also, be sure to create a new folder in you Ag Earth Science folder and label it 'FFA'. Put all of the documents from what you are downloading in there.
Toward the end of the period we will be going outside and collecting some data with the oak trees that are on the campus. We will be doing this to help out some researchers at UC Berkley with an ongoing study they are conducting. Below is a link to some information about their project. Hopefully we can continue to work with these researchers on a yearly basis and become more aware of the studies that are taking place in our own back yard. I have created a data sheet for you to use on our data collection tour.
